REP/SELECT TOURNAMENT NEWS & UPDATES

With the on-going COVID-19 situation in Ontario, park permits still cancelled by the City of Vaughan and the challenges associated with running tournaments given small gathering sizes, the 6 remaining Vaughan Baseball tournaments scheduled from July 10th through to the end of the month inclusive have been cancelled.

 

We were looking forward to hosting your respective teams, and anticipated some great baseball in all 6 tournaments, given the quality of the teams entered and based on how early all of them “Sold Out”, some with as many as 20 teams.

 

A few of you have inquired with regard to a credit toward our 2021 tournament, thus guaranteeing your spot for next year, while others have inquired about a possible refund.

 

Given most of the teams entered are those who attend our tournaments on a regular basis, we offer all of you the following options with regard to your Entry Fee:

 

  1. Full credit toward the 2021 Vaughan Tournament.  Your 2020 payment will be applied and cover your FULL 2021 Entry Fee, even if we increase the 2021 fees or if your team (same team number) moves up to an older age group where the Entry Fee is higher.  Please advise via return email indicating:
  1. a) your desire to have a full credit and a spot reserved for the 2021 tournament
  2. b) the name of your team(and please be specific as on occasion we may have 2 teams from the same local entered into a tournament)
  3. c) which tournament you were entered in (please be specific as we have multiple tournaments at the same age group)
  4. d) the dates of the tournament you were entered in

 

  1. If you paid by cheque, we will provide a full refund by cheque upon receipt of an email from you with:
  1. a) whom the cheque should be made out to
  2. b) the address to mail the cheque to
  3. c) the name of your team
  4. d) which tournament you were entered in

e)the dates of the tournament you were entered in.

 

Alternatively, we can refund your entry fee via an ETF upon receipt of an email from you with:

  1. a) Completed EFT Payment form (attached)
  2. b) Proof of account … either a void cheque or bank issued Account Information Statement
  3. c) Email address of where they would like the EFT confirmation to be sent to
  4. d) the name of your team
  5. e) which tournament you were entered in
  6. f) the dates of the tournament you were entered in

 

  1. If you paid by credit card, we will provide a full refund to your card upon receipt of an email from you with:
  1. a) the name of the person who registered for the tournament
  2. b) the name of your team
  3. c) which tournament you were entered in
  4. d) the dates of the tournament you were entered in

While we are unable to hold a tournament this year due to the prevailing circumstances, we look forward to having all of you and your team back in 2021!

 

In the interim, I urge everyone to listen to those in the medical community and do as has been recommended and/or mandated.  It is how we can do our part to help contain and mitigate the spread of this deadly virus.
