  • When does the Season Start and End?

    The City of Vaughan aims to open the fields on May 1st each year. Coaches have been meeting and getting all of their equipment ready. Weather permitting Teams will start practicing and then play their first game after the May long weekend. Our House League Playoffs run into the second or third week of August. We will have built-in days to make up for any games canceled due to rain. So, it is possible to play in the last week of August.

  • What is Rally Cap?

    We have launched Rally Cap for our 4/5U division in the 2023 Season. The Rally Cap Program is an initiative through the Toronto Blue Jays and Ontario Baseball to enhance players' and coaches' first experience with the game of baseball! The program helps teach players the five FUNdamentals of baseball (Fundamental movement skills, throwing, receiving, hitting, base running) in a fun and safe environment. Players have the opportunity to learn, acquire and perform different baseball skills in order to progress through the different levels of the program.

  • How will I know which Team we are on? What is the Schedule?

    In the first week of May, Convenors will post all Teams and Schedules through your TEAM SNAP app. You can download it on your phone or access it through your computer. The entire summer schedule will be laid out, so you can plan around it. 

    Coaches will reach out at this point to introduce themselves and remind you to use all of the functionality TEAM SNAP has. The most important function is the AVAILABILITY TAB. This tells the coach who will be attending games and practices. You can indicate your availability for the entire summer to your coach if you already know.

  • When will we get our Uniforms and what do we need?

    Coaches will be handing out Uniforms at one of your first practices. This includes a Jersey, pants, socks and a hat. Please be sure to bring a baseball glove, batting helmet, shoes or cleats and a water bottle to each practice and game.

  • Where can I purchase equipment?

    The League has a limited number of batting helmets for sale. Be sure to contact the office for more info. 

    Equipment can also be purchased at Canadian Tire, Silverstar Sports, Home Runs Sports/Kahunaverse Sports and any online retailer. Be sure you ask questions about the equipment so the fit is correct, comfortable and safe.

  • Which Baseball Fields will we be planning at?

    The City of Vaughan releases the field permits to the League in April. At that time we work hard to organize the fields based on your geography and the appropriate age groups. There are no guarantees that your practice or game field will be near your house. The Team rosters, schedule and locations of games and practices will be released in late April or early May.
